This week, I did my show and tell and showed the Paid Speaker Community my Visible Leadership talk on how to be confident and visible leader on LinkedIn. I can tell I've grown. 3 years ago watching something like that back would have made me cringe. It was Bozoma vibes! You can watch that talk on Youtube: HERE I was also at the Hairdresser's for a bit of an overdue appointment! And I picked up my new glasses.

Today, I finally sat down to write the escalating email to the University about the overdue invoice. It still has not been resolved. However, I decided not prioritize it. I choose to prioritize my book, the book launch, new opportunities and sales. That's the choice I made, so I have to own that. Whilst this isn't my fault, I have not chased this consistently l was going to call the BBC and share my story!

What I am learning is that to achieve results you've never had, you've to do things differently. You have to feel the fear and do it anyway!

And now to the title of the email: It felt incomplete 🍽😋🍝

Yesterday I went to dinner with my in-laws, their niece and my Husband. We went to an Italian restaurant near Liverpool Street Station. It was standard mainstream menu or so I thought. Well so there is now a twist in this tale, but we'll get to this is a moment! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

I ordered a Lasagne because you can basically never go wrong with that dish. It's staple and something totally common.

So when it arrived "naked" I was surprised. There no cheese or bechamel sauce already on it! It came in small side jug.

I was like is this a new thing? I didn't say I had an allergy.

And today I find out that traditional Italian Lasagne is traditionally "naked!" 😯😯😯😯😯😯😯😯😯 🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯

Appratently I'd bought into the "modern" or "mainstream version".

Which it did when I was served it. And I thought this was all wrong!

Turns out I was wrong! Every day is school day! 👩🏾‍🏫👩🏾‍🏫👩🏾‍🏫👩🏾‍🏫👩🏾‍🏫👩🏾‍🏫👩🏾‍🏫👩🏾‍🏫👩🏾‍🏫👩🏾‍🏫👩🏾‍🏫👩🏾‍🏫

Today, I'm reflecting on professional boundaries as small business owner. We need to teach people how to treat us. As business owners or event employees we deserve to be treated with dignity and respect. We too need to lead the way about communicating when a boundary has been crossed.
